Seth Hill turns 3!!!!!!!!!

These are some pics from my nephew Seth's third B-day party last Saturday. It was a theme party where we all wore our team colors. Seth and his Mommie and Daddy are huge Alabama fans ( we try not to hold it against them) so we had a sports party. Uncle Shannon took the pics for us. Seth loves, loves, loves dinosaurs so he got lots of dinosaur things. LK helped him open every present!!! We couldn't keep her out of them. She thought they were for her. Good thing Seth loves her so much. He didn't mind at all. They are best friends. You would never know they were 18 months apart in age. They play so well together.

Feeding the Ducks

We went to Cooper Creek park tonight to play and feed the ducks. LK had such a good time. She was fascinated with the "Duckies" as she called them. She also loved chasing the pigeons. They were trying to eat our bread for the ducks. LK would run after them when they landed. She was fearless!!! So cute!

100 or so things about me

Ok, here goes. I have been tagged by a couple of people so I am going to attempt to share 100 things about myself. I may not make it to 100 but I will give it a shot. These are for you Robin and Ashleigh!!!

1. The most important thing to know about me is I am a Christian!!!

2. I was born in Montgomery, Al in 1975. Yes, that makes me 32 but 33 is knocking on my door.

3. I was raised in Tallassee, Al and my family lives there now.

4. I greatest wish growing up was to be a mother.

5. My greatest accomplishment is being a mother.

6. I am still best friends with my childhood friends, Robin Holley and Dawn Woodrow. We still talk most everyday.

7. I have one sister Melissa. She also one of my best friends.

8. I never wanted to go to college anywhere but Auburn. I graduated from there in 1998. War Eagle!

9. I wanted to be a teacher when I was little.

10. I am a Social Worker

11. I love working with older people.

12. My mother is the strongest person I know.

13. My father is the funniest person I know.

14. I am the biggest worry wart!! My Daddy calls me "The Prophet of Doom"

15. I was saved when I was 10.

16. I cried for the 1st month of 1st grade and my mother had to come to school everyday to comfort me.

17. I was a terrible student in high school. No advanced diploma for me!!!!!!!(Ha HA)

18. My husband is the smartest person I have ever met. He is also the sweetest.

19. I am a computer dummy.

20. Growing up I was the responsible one.

21. I wish I had a hot body!!!!!

22. I didn't get married until I was 30.

23. I got pregnant with LK 6 months after we got married .( the clock was ticking)

24. I lived by myself for 6 years.

25. I love the beach, but I am too fair complected to stay on it very long!!!

26. I threw up for 9 months when I was pregnant

27. I have lived in 2 states and 4 different cities.

28. I am a reality TV junky

46. LK had Colic for 5 months. I could write a book about Colic now

62. I had the baby blues after LK was born. I cried in the doctors office at her 2 day checkup because it dawned on me that one day she would start her period. (What a psycho!)

A day at the Park

It was such a beautiful day today. LK and I went to the park with Emma and her mom Sherry. We had a wonderful time. The girls loved swinging and feeding the ducks. LK and Emma love each other. We are so blessed to have her as a friend!!!

I wanted to add this verse to my post because it is one of my favorites. The book of James is definitely my favorite in the Bible. When I am feeling down I read from James and it always reminds me that we are supposed to face trials in our walk on this earth...... "Consider it pure joy my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know the testing of your faith develops perseverance" James 1: 2-3..........I am always revived when I read these verses. I just wanted to share some of my favorites. Another of my favorites is in Isaiah when the Lord says "Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool"....Isaiah 66:1. This verse always reminds my how big the Father is and how small we are. It helps me put the size of the Lord's power into better perspective. And last but least, " The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."......John 1:14. These are just a few of my favorite ones. There are many more and I think I am going to start adding them to posts. They make my heart sing when I read them and I hope my friends who blog too will enjoy reading them as well. I can't think of a better book to quote than God's word.

My best friend, my thumb

We got home from church today and LK was really sleepy. All she wanted to do was follow me around the house and suck her thumb. The thumb sucking really used to bother me. My nephew and all my friend's children sucked pacifiers. I naturally thought LK would too and she did until she was three weeks old and the dreaded COLIC set in...... When LK developed colic she also developed a love of her thumb. She grew out of the colic but the thumb sucking was here to stay. I don't know how I will ever get her to stop sucking her thumb. I guess I will worry about it when she is a little older. For now it is definitely her favorite toy. We don't go anywhere without it. I guess I have learned to accept it a little better now. It truly is her best friend......

Rainy Saturday at our house

It was so messy out this morning we decided to stay in and play. The rain is a welcome blessing so it's not a sacrifice. LK and her Daddy have rolled all over the floor playing. She is getting yet another tooth! so we had to entertain her so she didn't concentrate on the discomfort. She had so much fun riding on her daddy's back. We are getting ready for my nephew Seth's Birthday party next weekend. He will be 3. He and LK are best buds. We are so excited. I will definitely have pics from the party to share on the blog. Can't wait.

Mimi and Papa came to town

Here are some pics from this weekend. My parents came to town to spend the night. LK loves my mother and will not let her out of her sight. I am so glad I got a good pic of my daddy and LK together. We didn't have a very good one until this weekend....There are also some more pics of LK at play that I thought were cute.
